The American Drag Racing Association (ADRA) will be making steady strides and progress in reforming another lost drag race organization for the sportsman and nostalgia racer.  We began rebuilding this organization in 2020 however due to the Covid 19, we have put things on hold until the 2022 season. As we grow, we will be holding limited races at various select venues willing to give us the opportunity to host our races. Many racers from the late 1980’s era will recognize the ADRA as the spin off of the AHRA sanctioning organization after the death of its owner, Jim Tice.

THE VARIETY OF VEHICLES AT AN ADRA EVENT WILL CERTAINLY CAUSE AN AREA OF QUESTION ON SAFETY.  IN CASE OF CONTRADICTION, REFERENCE WILL BE MADE TO THE CURRENT NHRA RULE BOOK FOR CLARIFICATION.  ALL CURRENT NHRA RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLY, OVER AND ABOVE ANY RULES DETAILED IN THIS RULE BOOK.  WE ENCOURAGE ALL RACERS PARTICIPATING IN ANY ADRA EVENT TO OBTAIN A CURRENT NHRA RULE BOOK AS THE ADRA WILL BE INCORPORATING NHRA RULES IN OUR PROGRAMS.

We will continue to add key members as we grow the organization.  Furthermore, we will certify SFI chassis and Tech inspectors for proper safety inspections.  As the 2022 season approaches the 2022 rule book will introduce PRO NOSTALGIA CLASS AND BRACKET style ¼ mile and 1/8-mile competition.

The ADRA rule book will continue its dynamic growth and hold the line on the cost of participation and all classes will continue to be structured to make the competition as close and as fair as possible.  We strongly encourage the racers to provide their ideas and suggestions they think would help better the organization and classes and we ask that you keep in touch and advise us of any problems you may have regarding these rules or any factor over which we have control.  All ADRA sponsored events will continue to be affordable, safe and fun and we hope you will join us in the sport of drag racing.
